Medication Done Smarter
Project Duration: 5 Weeks
Skills Used: Fusion 360, Key Shot, Arduino Coding
Ideal Client
Meet Rylie!
Rylie is a freshman in college and has grown up with ADHD, she is prescribed daily medication to help her focus.
Due to her busy schedule, she is always on the move and consistently forgets to take her medication.
Another daily problem she faces is remembering what time she took her medication and if she has already taken it or not.
Considering Rylie is in classes she wants to avoid loud alarms that will cause a distraction
Project Intent
Create a medication bottle that helps remind you to take your medication, is discrete, and easily accessible. The target demographic is teenagers or young adults who take only a few pills a day.

Fusion 360 3D Model
After making my first model I refined the proportions and translated my design onto fusion 360 to get it ready for a 3D print
Model 1
Materials: Hot glue and foam board
Arduino Coding/ Wiring Product
Using a simple programming platform called Arduino, I created a code with the help of chat GPT to create a fully functioning model. I Also used Tinker CAD to double check my wiring and my programing before running it through Arduino
Model #2
Before creating my final I combined my first 3D print model with my Arduino to see if any changes needed to be made luckily everything fit together and no changes needed to be made
Product Color Model Finish
My final step was finalizing the color and material finish of my product. By researching current trends and considering where/ what this keychain might be attached, I came up with three final color schemes.
-
Within the product trends I researched I found a common theme of pastel colors and an uprise of primary colors being used
-
While looking both online and around my college campus both neutral and muted colors were most popular
-
I have found a rise in warm/muted colors and a lot of natural wood and plants incorporated within interior design.
Based on my trend research, I narrowed it down to 14 colors plus Black and white. My next step was to try different color combinations and get feedback from my peers my end goal was to have three different color combinations.
